IThe 28th edition promoted by I Teatrini and Federico II begins.
The “Fiabe d'autunno all'Orto Botanico” festival in Naples is now in its 28th year of activity and will reopen the world of fairy tales to its young spectators starting on Saturday 16 September, presenting a new series of shows.
Five masterpieces on stage, until November 19, in the usual itinerant formula "to which we owe a significant part of the success and longevity of our event" underline the organizers.
The program includes titles taken from the production of authors such as Charles Perrault, the Brothers Grimm, Lyman Frank Baum and, in the case of “Arthur and Merlin”, on stage on Saturday (at 11 am, with 3 repeats announced on 17, 23 and 24 September), a show inspired by the legends of the “Breton cycle” rewritten by Giovanna Facciolo and entrusted to the interpretation of the actors Adele Amato de Serpis, Monica Costigliola, Alessandro Esposito, Riccardo Radice. “28 years ago, the first show – recalls the writer and director Facciolo – with which the enchantment of the garden of via Foria opened up to our eyes and those of our little spectators. In autumn, in the season in which it is least usual to frequent, this magical place, revealing to us the marvelous foliage of its trees, would have captured us and bound us to itself forever”.
For 28 years, the “Fiabe all'Orto Botanico” in Naples, conceived and organized by the Associazione I Teatrini and the Federico II University, as part of La Scena Sensibile with the support of the MIC, the Campania Region and the Municipality, “have attracted thousands of spectators – adds the organizer Luigi Marsano – creating an opportunity to know and love a unique and priceless place”. Paths between theater and nature are proposed both for family audiences – in the 20 festive performances scheduled – and for school audiences, expected on weekdays in October and November.
After “Arthur and Merlin”, the review continues with “In the Mirror of Snow White” by the Brothers Grimm (September 30 and October 1,7,8, 1697, XNUMX), “Without Cat or Boots” from “Puss in Boots” in the famous version written in XNUMX by Charles Perrault, “In the Kingdom of Oz” by L. Frank Baum and ending with “The People of the Woods” by Giovanna Facciolo.
