Yesterday the lifeless body of the man found in the sea in Capri, between Marina Piccola and the Faraglioni, was identified. His identity was confirmed thanks to his faith.
The man, 51, was one of the people involved in the making of Paolo Sorrentino's new film. He had a head wound.
The investigation into his death was launched by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, coordinated by the prosecutor Silvio Pavia, and was entrusted to the police. The latter collaborated with the Port Authority and the 118 emergency service during the recovery operations of the body, which took place on Friday.
The filming of the movie is taking place in the area of via Krupp and the gardens of Augustus. According to what has been learned, suicide is excluded as a hypothesis on the cause of death. At the moment, it is hypothesized that it could have been an illness or a freak wave that caused the fall into the water.
Investigators are questioning several people to reconstruct the man's last movements. They have also acquired images from surveillance cameras in a large area of the island.
