He was travelling in his car when he was hit by some beams lost from the lorry which preceded him, and remained ferito and trapped in the wreckage, only to be rescued by firefighters.

It happened this morning around 7am on the Sannitica state road in marcianise (Caserta), at a roundabout near a well-known shopping center. The firefighters of (Marcianise detachment) intervened on the spot, using their tools to cut the sheet metal, freeing the 55-year-old who was in the passenger compartment.
The man was then taken to hospital by a 118 ambulance.
