A33 years later, precautionary measures arrive for two of the many Cold Case Camorra murders.
This concerns the murder of Angelo De Caro killed in Naples in via Gherardo Marone on 6 June 1990 and of Pasquale Bevilacqua murdered in Naples in via Cupa Coppa di Chiaiano on 6 February 1991.
Following an investigation by the Naples DDA, the Flying Squad this morning executed a custodial order against:
1. LICCIARDI Vincenzo, alias “o chiatt”, detained at the Opera prison;
2. BOCCHETTI Gaetano, alias “nanuzz”, interned in the Tolmezzo prison;
3. LO RUSSO Giuseppe, alias Peppe or capitone, detained in the Catanzaro prison;
4. COSTAGLIOLA Carmine, alias “Provolino”;
In particular, Lo Russo is seriously accused of both murders, Vincenzo Licciardi e Gaetano Bocchetti than that of Pasquale Bevilacqua, while Carmine Costagliola of the murder of Angel DeCaro.
Regarding the recipients, it should be noted that Lo Russo is the head of the clan of the same name which is dominant in the neighbourhoods of Miano, Chiaiano, Piscinola and MarianellaHe has been held continuously since July 24, 1998, serving a 25-year prison sentence for Camorra association, murder, extortion, and drug-related crimes.
The order against him was issued to confirm the provisional measure following the validation of the arrest, carried out on 3 October on behalf of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
Vincenzo Licciardi he is the leader of the clan of the same name, hegemonic in the neighborhoods of Secondigliano and surrounding areas. He has been detained since February 7, 1998 for a 21-year prison sentence for Camorra association, murder, extortion and drug-related crimes.
Gaetano Bocchetti, leader of the Bocchetti – Sacco group, hegemonic in the Don Guanella district, has been detained since 24 September 1998 and is serving 25 years in prison for Camorra association, murder, extortion and drug-related crimes.
Finally, Carmine Costagliola, tracked down in Rome together with personnel from the local Police Headquarters, was linked to the Lo Russos, federated with the aforementioned Licciardi and Sacco Bocchetti in the Secondigliano Alliance.
