Shortly after 21:30 pm, on the A1 Milan-Naples, on the stretch between Caianello and Capua in the direction of Naples, there was an accident between three cars that had occurred previously, at approximately km 719.
Mechanical rescue, Highway Police patrols and personnel from the 6th Cassino Section Directorate of Autostrade per l'Italia intervened at the scene of the accident.
Currently, in the affected section, traffic flows on three lanes, but there is a 9 km tailback in the direction of Naples, caused by the now resolved accident and heavy traffic returning. For users heading towards Naples, it is recommended to exit at Caianello, follow the ordinary roads and rejoin the A1 at Capua.
