It happened in Piazza Nazionale last night. The robbery was filmed by a resident and it was the president of a civic committee who released the footage, addressing the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“Naples is becoming increasingly violent and most of the time the perpetrators of such barbaric and criminal acts are children”, says Borrelli. And then he adds: “It is clear that the baby-gang phenomenon has completely gotten out of control, now these gangs of 'infant' delinquents are dictating the law on the streets.

In terms of security, many steps backwards have been taken, it seems like we have gone back to the past. As we have already asked, the Prefect must set up a table for the security of the territory but above all we must intervene decisively on the baby-gang issue. Changes are needed both in the laws and juvenile justice and in the way of doing prevention on families.”
