Twenty-Year-Old Climbs to Roof to Look for Cat: Falls and Dies

A young 20 year old college student, Michele Di Loreto, died after falling from the roof of a small villa in Filetto, in the province of Chieti.

The boy, according to what was reconstructed by the Carabinieri, climbed onto the roof of the villa, on the second floor, to look for his cat, of which all traces had been lost the previous day.

For reasons yet to be ascertained, Di Loreto slipped and made a flight of several meters, dying instantly. To do the discovery it was the mother that when she didn't see him come back she went into the garden to call him.

The Carabinieri and 118 intervened on the spot, even with the helicopter, but there was nothing more that could be done for the young man. The body was taken to the morgue in Chieti where tomorrow the cadaveric inspection will proceed.
