The request for help reached the Carabinieri Forestale of the Nucleus of Vairano Patenora regarding the presence of a wild boar in a private garden in the Marzanello hamlet in Vairano Patenora.
The residents were frightened by the constant presence of the animal and feared being attacked, preventing them from leaving their homes. The Carabinieri Forestale contacted the competent offices of the Campania Region, the Provincial Sector of Caserta and the Regional Reference Center for Veterinary Urban Hygiene (CRIUV).
They took steps to capture the wild boar using special traps, i.e. removable traps compatible with animal welfare.
