Stories in the Network in Naples: discover the literary event of February 10
Next Saturday, February 10, the Raffaello bookshop will host the event “Racconti nella Rete a Napoli”. During the event, in addition to interviews and readings of some stories included in the anthology, the short film “Separè” will be screened, written by Piero Fittipaldi and directed by Giuseppe Ferlito, winner of the shorts section of the 2023 edition.
The short film was made in collaboration with the Immagina Film School. The event will see the participation of writers Manuela Fucci, Katia Molinari, Annalisa Pistoia, Piero Fittipaldi (winners of the 2023 edition) and some winners of past editions, including crime writer Diego Lama, Ida Raiola, Marianna Guida, Maria Sordino, Cesare Cuscianna, Ottavio Mirra, Luigi Giampetraglia.
President Demetrio Brandi declared: “Naples is a city that has always welcomed the presentations of the literary prize with great enthusiasm and also on this occasion we are certain that there will be a great audience with many aspiring writers”.
The new competition is already underway on the website www.raccontinellarete.it and will close next May. Anyone with an unpublished story, a children's fable or a subject for a short film can participate in the twenty-third edition. There is no age limit and all users registered on the website can comment on the stories in the competition.
President Brandi emphasized: “As has been the case for over twenty years, the promotion of the award will continue until May in various Italian cities”. It is an author showcase open to all those who have an unpublished story or a subject for the Corti section. Racconti nella Rete wants to be an opportunity for aspiring writers to express themselves and compare themselves, offering a privileged space to give voice to their fantasies, memories or dreams and test the value and quality of their work.
Authors up to 25 years of age will be able to take advantage of a discount on the participation fee for the 2024 award – short stories and shorts sections. It will be enough to indicate the participation with an e-mail addressed to info@raccontinellarete.it. Demetrio Brandi, president of the Award, underlined: “This concession is aimed at young literary talents, an additional incentive to make them participate in an increasingly important showcase for emerging authors”.
Many authors published in the past in the anthologies have achieved brilliant results in the literary field, with the possibility of receiving awards and recognitions from various entities, including the AIDR Italian Digital Revolution Foundation and the online humorous newspaper Buduàr.
