Lega Pro, following the decree of the Prefect of Naples n. 90902 of 08/03/2024, announces that "the Juve Stabia-Taranto match, scheduled for Monday 11 March 2024 at the Romeo Menti Stadium in Castellammare di Stabia, starting at 20.45pm, will take place behind closed doors”.
In response to this measure, SS Juve Stabia released a statement expressing its bitterness for the decision taken, stating that it was the victim of a very serious act.
“We are shocked, this is the word that best describes how we feel, a piece of news that leaves us seriously perplexed, an unexpected bolt from the blue that deprives us, at a key moment of the season, of our fans”.
President Andrea Langella doesn't mince his words: “As President of Juve Stabia I can only condemn all acts of violence that have occurred or may occur outside the Stadium.
Langella: “The behaviour of our fans makes us proud”
My wish is that Sport always wins in the name of its sporting values. I can underline that in our stadium there have never been any disturbances or anomalous behaviors and I must thank our fans for their exemplary behavior that makes us proud.
As the Presidency of Juve Stabia we have always trusted in the police and their work, always placing ourselves at the disposal of the Police Commissioner and the Prefect. However, I must stigmatize all acts of violence and defend with all my strength the commitment always made by the Company, the Team and the fans to reach our desired goal and we believe that we can never be damaged by the uncivilized behavior outside our stadium by hooligans who undermine public order”.
