Verbal assaults and damage to the emergency room: two incidents were recorded in Naples in just a few hours.
The first, around 17.30:XNUMX p.m., happened in the emergency room of the Cto. According to the reconstruction by the non-profit organization Nobody Touches Hippocrates, some relatives of a patient, for reasons still unclear, first verbally attacked the staff and then broke the glass of a door in the emergency room.
Then it was the turn of Villa Bethany, the evangelical hospital on via Argine: two patients, classified at the triage as white code, tired of waiting, broke down the triage door and railed against doctors, nurses and security guards, hurling insults at the staff present in an attempt to be seen immediately.
Secondo Nobody Touches Hippocrates To date, 22 attacks have been recorded between the hospitals of ASL Napoli 1 and ASL Napoli 2 since the beginning of 2024.
The association wanted to remind everyone of the correct procedures, underlining that "the white code can also be managed by telephone by the general practitioner or by the Continuity of Care“The improper access to the emergency room and the insistence on receiving immediate assistance by these violent people is therefore not justified.
