A sudden illness has cut short the life of Angela Bocchetti, a 64-year-old nurse who died yesterday while she was working her shift at the hospital Cardarelli di Napoli.
The woman, who had chosen not to retire yet because of the great passion with which she carried out her profession, felt ill yesterday afternoon while she was on duty in the distribution of Third Medicine.
Her colleagues, who arrived immediately, attempted to help her with resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately there was nothing they could do.
Angela had started her afternoon shift at 14:00 pm and was highly appreciated and respected by her colleagues, with whom she had shared nursing duties in the department for years.
The news of her death has caused great grief among colleagues and patients who knew her. On social media there are many messages of affection and remembrance for Angela and for her great love for the profession.
Angela was a sunny and altruistic woman, always ready to help others. She was a true pillar of the department and her passing leaves an unfillable void.
