The Court of Appeal of Naples, accepting the appeal of the lawyer Vittorio Fucci, sensationally released the 57-year-old grandfather from Cervinara, accused of having repeatedly sexually assaulted his two granddaughters: one aged 5 and one aged 1. As you will remember, this trial, which has assumed national importance with the name “the Orcs of Cervinara”, followed a complex investigation originating from the complaint of the coordinator of the educational community where the minors were placed.
The investigative developments, carried out according to specific investigative protocols for cases of sexual abuse against very young victims and corroborated by psychological analysis and clinical-specialist examination of the minors, led to the discovery of a shameful scenario of multiple sexual abuses within the domestic walls of a building located in Cervinara.
According to the prosecution, the grandfather acted with the connivance of the girls' mother, who allowed the abuse and sexual violence. As you will remember, this story shook the Cervinara community, and the entire Valle Caudina, so much that the mayor pro-tempore was interviewed several times on the story by various televisions and newspapers.
