Naples – A 48-year-old man was arrested by the State Police in Secondigliano for domestic abuse. The man attacked and threatened his wife with an iron pole, also breaking down the front door of their home.
The episode occurred yesterday afternoon. The woman, in a state of great agitation, went to the Secondigliano Police Station to report the violence she had suffered from her husband. She told the officers that the man, shortly before, had tried to enter the house to attack her and had threatened to kill her with an iron pole.
The officers arrived on the scene and found the front door of the apartment damaged and the woman in a state of shock. The woman later reported that the attack was the epilogue of an argument that had taken place the previous evening, following which the man had physically attacked her and damaged the furniture in the house.
While the officers were talking to the woman, they saw the man arrive, who approached the house in a threatening manner. The officers stopped him with some difficulty and arrested him.
The man, already known to the police, was locked up in a cell at the police station awaiting trial. The iron pole used in the attack was seized.
