Castellammare. “Let’s give back the sea and the beach of the municipal villa to the people of Castellammare.
Yesterday, Wednesday, was a historic day for our Castellammare di Stabia: first the outcome of the Arpac analyses which sanctioned the restoration of bathing suitability and the possibility of revoking the bathing ban, then the positive outcome of the conference of services in the Campania Region which sanctioned the usability of the beach, over 50 thousand square meters.
In the next few days I will be able to sign the decree to revoke the bathing ban". This was stated by Luigi Vicinanza, mayor of Castellammare di Stabia .
“The returned sea – he adds – is a reality and represents one of the opportunities to make Stabia great, a restitution that comes a year ahead of what I had reiterated during the electoral campaign.
A very important result. In agreement with the municipal offices and the ASL, we are providing a series of cleaning, rodent control and disinfestation interventions. A heartfelt thanks goes to the Campania Region, to EIC and to Gori for the enormous effort and the work carried out in these years”.
The green light for the bathing of the coast in front of the municipal villa of Castellammare di Stabia "represents a historic result for the entire territory of Castellammare di Stabia and for the entire Gulf of Naples, in step with the results of the conference of services that took place yesterday morning in the Campania Region regarding the characterization plan of the Stabia shoreline, from which it is clear that the beach is completely usable. An epochal turning point".
This is what the Campania Water Authority, the governing body of the integrated water cycle of Campania, says. A result, the authority explains, “the fruit of the extraordinary work implemented since 2017 by the Campania Water Authority and the Campania Region, in synergy with Gori acqua, to outline important new development prospects through an environmental remediation project that has no precedent in history”.
