Fire in a warehouse of an oil company in Montesarchio

The flames, which broke out at first light, were put out by the Fire Brigade who promptly arrived on the scene.

The fire affected the company warehouse, where materials used in the oil production process, including cardboard and flour, were stored.

For this reason, the Fire Brigade requested the intervention of ARPAC Campania technicians to carry out an inspection and evaluate the possible environmental consequences of the fire.

Although the fire was of "relatively modest size", as specified by ARPAC, technicians have nevertheless installed passive samplers near the depot to monitor the concentrations of pollutants generated by the combustion. The analyses are underway and the results will be released as soon as they are available.
