A 28-year-old man was arrested yesterday by the State Police in Napoli for mistreatment within the family, aggravated personal injury and resisting a public official.The man, of Sri Lankan origins and with a criminal record, was stopped in the Sanità district while he was threatening his partner with a gun.
He acted in front of his son – According to the reconstruction, the man had already attacked and threatened the woman in the past, even in the presence of their son.
Yesterday morning, yet another escalation of violence: the man threatened his partner with a gun, a gesture that prompted some citizens to call the police.
Arrest and seizure of weaponry – When the officers arrived on the scene, they stopped the man and found him in possession of a 24-centimeter knife.
Subsequently, the victim's partner, in an evident state of agitation, confirmed the threats suffered and directed the officers to the couple's home, where they found a caliber 8 blank pistol without the red cap, hidden in a safe place.
The man, already illegal on the national territory, was arrested and taken to prison. The State Police, once again, has proven to be attentive and ready to intervene against domestic violence, protecting the victims and ensuring their safety.
