Thanks to the “Safe Beaches” project, tourists will be able to enjoy their holidays without worries, knowing that the police are active to combat any form of illegality and protect tourists. At the end of the Committee meeting, the prefect of Salerno, Francesco Esposito, and the mayors of the municipalities of Amalfi, Praiano and Ravello, as a guarantee of the commitments undertaken, signed a specific Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the project “Safe Beaches – Summer 2024”.
The municipalities identified in the province of Salerno, all on the Amalfi Coast, were selected among those that are not provincial capitals, with a population of less than 50 inhabitants, which recorded the highest attendance in accommodation facilities, according to the latest Istat data. According to Prefect Esposito, "the approval of these projects represents a further, important step towards ensuring a safer summer for the many tourists who choose to spend their holidays on our coasts".
