Yesterday afternoon, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, during a territorial control operation, observed two people in Vico VII Duchesca who were exchanging something with some people in exchange for money, who then quickly moved away.
The police immediately intervened to stop the illegal activity, managing with difficulty to stop one of the two suspects.
The latter was found in possession of 16 methamphetamine pills weighing approximately 7 grams, 10 small bags containing approximately 16 grams of marijuana, and 7 sticks of hashish weighing a total of approximately 24 grams. The accomplice, however, managed to escape.
The detainee, a 38-year-old Gambian with a police record and an illegal immigrant on national territory, was arrested for illicit possession of narcotics and resisting a public official.
