The Guardia di Finanza has seized a company for the production of cement conglomerates in Ariano Irpino, along with two lands located in the municipality of Montecalvo Irpino, all owned by the same company, already under investigation for fraudulent bankruptcy. The seizure order was ordered by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations (GIP) of the Court of Benevento at the request of the local Prosecutor's Office, the day after the ruling of the Court of Cassation, which confirmed the legitimacy of the blocking of assets.
The investigations, launched following the reports of the bankruptcy trusteeship, revealed a series of prejudicial financial and corporate transactions that aggravated the company's bankruptcy, with a confirmed liability of over three million euros. Among the most significant episodes that emerged from the investigations is the sale of the factory of Ariano Irpino, valued at 700 thousand euros, made a few days before the company filed for admission to preventive composition, a procedure that allows bankruptcy to be avoided through an agreement with creditors. However, this request was subsequently rejected.
Investigators hypothesize that the sale of the factory, which took place in favor of another company operating in the same industrial sector, was a deliberate attempt to remove assets from the bankruptcy proceedings, thus causing serious damage to creditors. This operation, together with other suspicious transactions, was considered by investigators to be part of a broader plan of asset diversion, aimed at impoverishing the company before the declaration of insolvency.
