Benevento. The well-known drug boss Marco Iovino, alias “Marcuccio”, is free again. The Court of Appeal of Naples has accepted the requests of his lawyer, Vittorio Fucci, definitively canceling all the restrictive measures against him.
Iovino, a 58-year-old from Bonea, was arrested as part of the “British” operation against drug trafficking, accused of being one of the main people responsible for drug dealing in the Caudina Valley. At the time of his arrest, approximately 250 grams of cocaine, two pistols and ammunition.
Despite the numerous charges and criminal record, including criminal association for the purpose of drug trafficking and involvement in operations such as “Parcheggio” and “Open Gates”, the Court deemed that there were no longer any grounds for maintaining the precautionary measures.
