Nocera. He knew he was wanted since November 15 because he had evaded notification of an order for the execution of a prison sentence issued by the Attorney General of Naples for a remainder of the sentence: 6 years and 4 months of imprisonment.
A 24-year-old man, definitively convicted of drug trafficking conspiracy, was a fugitive, but a recent romantic relationship allowed investigators to locate him. The Salerno Flying Squad today executed against him a prison sentence execution order issued on November 15 by the Naples Attorney General's Office.
The man, originally from Nocera Inferiore, had initially set up his domicile in Balvano, in the province of Potenza, but searches in that location had been unsuccessful. His telephone number and the lack of traces in Nocera Inferiore had also strengthened the hypothesis that the young man was voluntarily evading capture.
However, the investigations revealed that the 24-year-old had started a relationship with a girl living in Teverola, in the Caserta area. These elements allowed the investigators to identify his presence at the young woman's home.
On Sunday morning, the mobile squad intervened in the house, finding the fugitive, who was subsequently transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, where he will serve the remainder of the sentence: 6 years and 4 months of imprisonment. The sentence refers to facts dating back to 2018 and 2019, which emerged in the context of an investigation into a criminal organization that involved 47 suspects, accused of drug trafficking, extortion and threats.
The criminal activity also included a “drug dealing square” and an illegal cell phone market inside the Salerno prison.
On the same day, another 29-year-old man, also convicted in the same proceeding and the recipient of a sentence execution order, voluntarily turned himself in to the Carinola prison. He will have to serve a residual sentence of 7 years and 11 months of imprisonment.

This story is very interesting but there are many things that I do not understand well. Why did this boy decide to run away? And then how come the investigators found him so easily? It seems strange to me that after so much time he was discovered thanks to a relationship. I hope that justice takes its course.
