A lightning theft and a loot made of a few pennies. It happened in Vomero, in the pub “All American Burger” on via Salita Arenella 39, where a man casually entered the place taking advantage of a quiet moment. With extreme nonchalance, he headed straight for the staff tip box, grabbed it and disappeared without arousing suspicion.
An employee, having noticed the theft, tried to chase the thief, but the latter was already too far away to be reached. The pub owner, outraged, reported the incident to the deputy of the Green-Sinister Alliance, Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“Yet another case of theft in Naples,” he declared, “this time to our detriment. We are outraged by everything that is happening in this city.”
Borrelli harshly commented on the episode: "While citizens, workers and shopkeepers suffer, there are still those who say that the real problems are elsewhere. Thus, between crafty people and criminals, the situation continues to worsen.
“Ours is a territory that unfortunately is full of criminals, delinquents, quick hands, swindlers and fraudsters” - comments Borrelli with the municipal councilors Rino Nasti and Luca Bonetti “- and it is so because for decades too much has been tolerated, while we denounce with firmness and assiduity, others said – 'the real problems are elsewhere'. So while we looked elsewhere, what once seemed like small promontories, today have become insurmountable mountains. The problems have grown out of all proportion because they were not kept under control and not even 'elsewhere', as the guarantors say, then in the end we really intervened. And then the ones who pay the price are citizens, entrepreneurs, traders and workers. We are on their side and it is time that everyone is. The territory must be protected and guarded”
