Zdenek Zeman He is currently hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, having suffered a stroke, and the news was confirmed by the hospital itself with an official note: “Zeman presented this morning a deficit of strength and a speech disorder compatible with cerebral ischemia, in patients with previous cardiac comorbidity and a previous stroke”.
The statement added that the 76-year-old coach, currently admitted to the Stroke Unit, was subjected to antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy. Despite the serious initial conditions, his clinical conditions are currently stable, but remain under reserved prognosis. Zeman is described as vigilant and cooperative with doctors constantly monitoring vital signs. In the coming days, the former coach of the Pescara will have to be subjected to cardiological and neuroradiological checks.
This hospitalization follows a previous episode that affected the technician last October, when Zeman had been hospitalized for cerebral ischemia after feeling unwell at his home in Rome. In that case, the coach had been urgently transferred to the Pierangeli clinic in Pescara, where he had been hospitalized again December 2023 and subsequently to February 2024. This series of health problems has forced Zeman to leave the Pescara bench in early 2024, after having to deal with serious mobility problems due to a stroke that affected the right side of his body.

I hope Zeman recovers soon, his condition is worrying and I think his career has been affected by these health problems. It's sad to see a great coach like him face these difficulties, but health is a priority.
