The Teatro Supercinema in Castellammare di Stabia will host, on May 10, 2025 at 20:30 pm, the show La bella libertà, written and directed by Ferdinando Martino based on an idea by Ciro Daino.
This performance is an authentic sensory experience that brings to life a crucial chapter in history: the Neapolitan Revolution.
Through the courage, passion and determination of extraordinary women, the show tells the events that marked that historical period. It is an immersive narration that combines acting, singing and dancing, transporting the audience into a mix of art and memory.
Five emblematic women become the beating heart of the play, symbolizing the strength and resistance of their gender. The intent is to reaffirm the decisive role that women have had in the past and their ability to still inspire the present and the future.
Among the most notable figures stand out Eleonora de Fonseca Pimentel and Luisa Sanfelice, both remembered as martyrs of the Revolution of 1799.
The artistic staff is composed of Colomba Trombetta, Anna Di Capua, Federica Caligiuri, Maria Donnarumma and Angelica Cascone, supported by a larger cast of actors composed of Ambrogio Coppola, Salvatore Cipriano, Rosaria Cafiero, Angelo Irto, Amodio Somma, Ciro Daino, Umberto Amato and Giuseppe Gargiulo.
Director Ferdinando Martino emphasizes the importance and contemporaneity of the message of La bella libertà, stating: "If the time has come to represent events from more than two centuries ago, it is because the meaning of this text is strongly current. The message it intends to convey makes it a work that should be seen especially by the new generations."
A thought that highlights the urgency of transmitting collective memory, making these events accessible and meaningful for every spectator.
The show stands out for the integration between art and technology, creating an innovative harmony that enhances the roots and values that define us. The choreography, curated by Pia Tagliamonte, and the development of digital scenography, audio and video, entrusted to Antonello De Simone, contribute to transforming the performance into an immersive experience.
Thanks to the talent expressed by the actors and technicians,
La bella libertà will be able to involve audiences of all ages in a powerful rediscovery of history, reaffirming culture and memory as fundamental tools of awareness and freedom.

The article talks about a show that seems very interesting, but I don't understand how women were really important in that story. I hope they can make the public understand it well too. Memory is important.
