Night of “passion” in Napoli, in the heart of the nightlife of via Aniello Falcone, during Holy Thursday. The area, a meeting point for hundreds of young people in bars and clubs, has turned into chaos.
At Kagoshima Street, traffic was at a standstill: wildly parked cars and scooters paralyzed traffic, while owners toasted in their bars. Music blared until late at night and residents were trapped in their homes, unable to leave.
An evening out of control that exasperated those who live in the area, now tired of the disorder of the nightlife.
"I have never seen anything like this. This is certainly an area frequently subject to deregulation and chaos, but this time all limits have been exceeded." - declares AVS deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli with municipal councilors Lorenzo Pascucci and Gianni Caselli.
“We continue to organize mega events in venues of a few square meters without anyone intervening. This is not possible. No one wants to take away space and sociality from young people but it is clear that regulations are needed. By-night of this type, in addition to being exhausting, humiliating and stressful for residents, is dangerous.
So we risk starting violent actions, how many fights we have witnessed, we risk laying out emergency vehicles. Either we change or we face dramatic worsening with all the related consequences"

The situation in via Aniello Falcone seems to have become unsustainable. Residents can no longer live in peace, and traffic is a real problem. It would be necessary to find a way to better manage the movida.
