Naples - Tight controls by the Carabinieri in the heart of the Neapolitan nightlife. During the night, the soldiers of the Naples Center Company, in collaboration with the Campania Regiment and the Municipal Police, guarded the area of “little bars” of Chiaia, which has long been at the centre of the news for episodes of widespread illegality.
During the service, two minorsthey were reported for illegal possession of weapons. The first, just 15 years, was caught with a telescopic truncheon in metal; the second, 17enne, he had with him a 23cm long butterfly knife.
Also reported three illegal parking attendantsi, already known to the police and sanctioned several times.
Trouble also for a 32 year old woman with no criminal record, stopped at driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman, subjected to the breathalyzer test, insulted the police and vehemently opposed the checks, ending up being reported for resistance and outrage to a public official as well as for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Another man, at the driving without a license, was reported.
The audit balance also includes 19 fines to the Highway Code, many of which for lack of helmets, and 7 vehicles seized.

Finally, in a space meter of a building, were found 27 bullets of various calibers, while six young people were reported to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotic substances.
The operation is part of the plan to combat petty crime and the spread of illegal behavior in the most frequented areas of the city during the night hours.

It is important that controls are tight, but I wonder if this is enough to stop crime. Young people need to be better educated on these issues, but I don't know how this can really be done.
