“With the orange zone and the bars that can't accept us, where do we go to the bathroom? It's a disgrace.” Borrelli and Simioli: “We've been denouncing this for years. The administration should take note of it and fix it quickly.”
In Naples there are very few public toilets and the existing ones are in terrible conditions, like those in Piazza Cavour.
With Campania in the orange zone, the problem becomes more serious, especially for the elderly, as a citizen writes to the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli: “Mr. Francesco Emilio Borrelli, is it right that people like me, of a certain age and with problems, cannot take a walk around Naples with the possibility of going to the bathroom? With the orange zone, bars won't let us in, so where do we go? This is a serious and great disability because it forces us not to go out... even those who for health reasons would need to walk and be outdoors.”
"The public toilets in the city are a problem that we have been denouncing for years and yet nothing has ever been done, or really too little, to improve the situation. Now with Campania becoming an orange zone the issue is being felt more decisively. The city administration should take note of this once and for all and remedy it quickly." - commented Councilor Borrelli and La Radiazza radio host Gianni Simioli.
