Message from the mayor of Procida to 2 families: “Join the vaccination campaign”
The voice of the mayor of Procida Dino Ambrosino has arrived in the homes of 2 families in Procida. Through an app, the Municipality has sent an audio message from the mayor to home phones with an invitation to join the vaccination campaign mass screening that started today, Wednesday 28 April, and will end on Saturday 1 May.
“Good evening, I am the mayor,” begins the recorded audio message entrusted to the app that automated its sending. Then, the reminder of some useful information, such as the concomitant closure in these days of the municipal offices facing the public, given that the vaccination hub is at the Town Hall, and the informal wish for a good evening. Among the first to introduce, even before the pandemic, the appointment with the mayor's Facebook live broadcasts, the Municipality of Procida therefore does not neglect traditional tools, including the home phone.
The mass vaccination of all residents of the island of PROCIDA began this morning at 9 am. At the opening of the vaccination hub created in the Municipality, 3 people were already waiting. The operation, announced yesterday by the mayor of the island Dino Ambrosino, is coordinated by the ASL Napoli 2 Nord, competent for the territory of 32 municipalities in the province of Naples (including the islands of Ischia and PROCIDA). 220 people have already been vaccinated out of 600 summoned in the over 50 age group, that is, those born before 1971 included.
Today, those over 50, over 60 and over 70 who have not received a reservation will also be able to go to the vaccination center located inside the Town Hall, "trying - the Town Hall says - not to all come together at the same time". Tomorrow, Thursday 29 April, we will move on to the 40-49 age group, Friday 30 April it will be the turn of the 30-39 age group and Saturday it will be the turn of all Procida citizens between 18 and 29. All types of vaccines are available and, based on the anamnesis, doctors will indicate the type to administer. For those who will receive a vaccine to be administered in two doses, the first dose will be administered at the Town Hall between today and Saturday, while the second dose will then be administered at the vaccination hub of the PROCIDA hospital.
