“Penisola Sorrentina” Award 2021, the “Borghi edition” is being prepared for the promotion of cultural tourism in the villages of Sannio
Il “Penisola Sorrentina” Award exports cultural tourism models to the villages of Sannio and the hinterland: "territories where the community spirit is very strong"
The “Penisola Sorrentina” Award model for the promotion of cultural tourism, of recognized national importance, now meets the charm and evocative nature of the villages of Campania.
A meeting between the coast and the areas of the Sannio hinterland. Here is the new formula with which the “Penisola Sorrentina Arturo Esposito” Award 2021 is presented.
To do this, we will focus in particular on an artistic residency project, directed by the Buonalbergo artist Giuseppe Leone.
Several Samnite municipalities were involved, including Buonalbergo and the picturesque village of Guardia Sanframondi, famous for its wine production.
The real challenge of this experience will be the use of digital technologies and the internationalization of initiatives.
These territories, less designer but rich in suggestions, food and wine proposals and historical-cultural traditions, will become laboratories of research and experimentation to lead to the final outcome of artistic works, exhibitions, debates, workshops and seminars.
"The cultural biography of the future is written in these places. The community trust is very strong. Our goal will be to transform, together with local actors, these places into an artistic and then also digital experience, without neglecting the use of the television tool", says Mario Esposito, patron of the event.
“Our concept of the Award is not limited to a spectacular evening dedicated to the world of audiovisuals that turns the national spotlight on the Sorrento Peninsula once a year, but is a dynamic and transversal container of activities, events and initiatives that aim, overall, to enhance Campania and the South”, concludes Mario Esposito.
