Caserta. Very serious accident between Modena and Carpi: a worker from the province of Caserta dies, three colleagues injured.
All four were travelling in a Fiat Scudo minivan owned by the Campania company for which they worked. The accident occurred around 9,30 am at km 306 of thehighway A22 of the Brenner Pass, a few kilometers after the Campogalliano motorway toll booth, heading north.
According to the reconstruction carried out by the police, the driver of the commercial vehicle lost control, ending up on the grassy verge that divides the two lanes; after having overturned several times, the vehicle ended up back on the roadway but the driver - the 59-year-old originally from the province of Caserta, an employee of the company that owned the vehicle - who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the passenger compartment and died instantly.

The other three occupants of the vehicle, all originally from Campania, They suffered medium-serious injuries and were transported to the Baggiovara Hospital in the province of Modena.
The accident caused the temporary blocking of the A22 motorway northbound to allow the injured to be rescued by 118, the fire brigade and the Highway Police to carry out investigations.
