19-day-old newborn positive for Covid, transferred to Santobono from Molise which does not have a pediatrics for the virus and this is not the first case
A 19-day-old newborn who arrived at the Veneziale hospital in Isernia with fever and cough and tested positive for Covid was transferred to the Santobono pediatric hospital in Naples.
This was learned from hospital sources.
The transfer outside the region was necessary because Molise does not have a pediatrics unit equipped to manage Covid cases.
It is not the first time: a month ago, a 3-year-old girl from Guglionesi with a positive swab was transferred to Naples, later discharged.
