In recent days, the Guardia di Finanza of Salerno has seized over 2.000 products including counterfeit clothing and accessories, such as shoes, bags and watches, found inside a warehouse in the province.
Specifically, the intervention of the Fiamme Gialle of the Eboli Company took place following a targeted info-investigative activity, also developed with financial data.
During the investigations, the social profiles attributable to the suspect were also analyzed, who used them to advertise the goods intended for online sale, especially through the Instagram platform.
The cross-referencing of the elements that emerged, over time, with the continuation of the inspection operations has thus allowed the Finance Police to trace what was a real "counterfeit market" online, which exploited a warehouse located in the municipality of Eboli as a logistical base.
After specific stakeout services, the military carried out several searches, discovering a series of products bearing well-known fashion brands, clearly counterfeit, which, although fake, were of excellent workmanship, complete with certificates and attached packaging, almost identical to the original.
Along with the goods, a sum of approximately 1.400 euros was also seized, presumably the proceeds of the illicit activity, as well as the two postal current accounts used by the person responsible for online sales.
Furthermore, the buyers are being identified and, from the analysis of the Facebook page where the products were advertised and marketed, they appear to be numerous. Once identified, an investigation will be started against them for the possible application of the administrative sanction foreseen in these cases.
The 23-year-old from Eboli was therefore reported at large to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Salerno for the crime of counterfeiting.
