Pozzuoli, A strong earthquake of magnitude 3.6 was felt in the evening by the population who poured into the streets.
A seismic event linked to bradyseism: the earthquake shock was clearly felt in the city and nearby areas at 19,45:3,6 p.m. and was accompanied by rumblings. The intensity of the event, according to the Vesuvius Observatory, was 2700 on the Richter scale at a depth of XNUMX meters, located in the area of Via Antiniana to the northeast of the Solfatara volcano.
Panic was reported among the population with people in the streets in the popular neighborhoods of Monterusciello and Toiano, but also in the Solfatara area, near the epicenter. The shock is the most intense since the resumption of the phenomenon in the last ten years, greater than the event of March 16th which had a magnitude of 3,5.
The municipality of Pozzuoli has activated the Civil Protection and the Municipal Police to monitor the situation. At the moment there are no reports of damage to people or things.
