Yesterday evening, yet another attack took place against a prison policeman in the Carinola prison, making it necessary to transfer him to first aid for appropriate treatment.
The regional secretary of Osapp Campania, Vincenzo Palmieri, reported it: “The chronic staff shortage recorded at the Carinola penitentiary has been reported to the top management of the DAP. To date, no staff has been increased, nor have countermeasures been adopted for the management and control of the institute, which is now in a comatose state.
We hope for decisive interventions, not excluding the sending of the Mobile Operations Group to re-establish order, security and legality in the interest of all, an essential condition to guarantee treatment, otherwise increase sanctions and provide for the most troublemakers to be transferred to other facilities outside the region in suitable circuits".
