Drunk driving in Ischia: reported. Carabinieri checks during the celebrations in honor of San Michele Arcangelo.
The Carabinieri of the Ischia company carried out a territorial control service in the municipalities of Forio and Serrara Fontana, on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of San Michele Arcangelo.
A 46-year-old of Moroccan origin was reported for receiving stolen goods because he was caught with an electric bike stolen on June 26. The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner. A 27-year-old woman from Barano d'Ischia will have to answer for drunk driving. She was driving her car despite a blood alcohol level of 2,57 g/l (above 0,5 g/l already triggers a fine, ed.).

A Dominican born in 68, however, drove his small car despite never having obtained a license. 18 fines were issued for violations of the highway code, many for driving without a helmet and lack of insurance coverage.
Drugs were not lacking. Several young people found bags of “grass” or sticks of hashish in their pockets. 121 people were identified, 67 vehicles were inspected.
