The first two calls for proposals for the enhancement and relaunch of “La Balzana” in Santa Maria la Fossa were published today.
The first 9 million euros are up for bid for the redevelopment and enhancement of a 220-hectare area with the construction of access roads, parking lots and a scientific hub for education and research.
“The goal – explains a note – is the creation of a large agri-food park that will once again be a pillar of social and economic development for the entire territory, linked to the maintenance and rebirth of the Real site of Carditello now in the definition phase”.
Regional Councillor Mario Morcone declared: “Legality and beauty are being restored to an extraordinary territory wounded by the abuse and violence of crime in past years and which, with the definitive confiscation, have been returned to the local communities”.
In the next few days, the third call for tenders will also be published for the first 15 million allocated by CIPE and which will create a multifunctional hub.
