The Cardarelli in Naples had to stop admissions to the Emergency Room due to overcrowding that occurred this morning. The Cgil Funzione Pubblica in Naples reported the news.
“We have to note – they explain from the union secretariat – once again the blocking of hospital admissions due to the complete saturation of the emergency room, despite the opening of the new Pre-Triage blessed only yesterday by the Bishop of Naples and celebrated as if it had been the organizational solution to ancestral problems”.
The CGIL claims that there is a “total lack of vision for solving the stretcher problem” and explains that “Once again, numerous members are reporting the extremely serious situation in the Emergency Room and the Short Intensive Observation Unit, where the number of stretchers is now out of control with all the spaces occupied and where patients and workers are suffering from intolerable discomfort on various fronts”.
Over one hundred people arrived at the emergency room of the Cardarelli in Naples this morning and this led to a number of people that led to the blocking of other hospitalizations.
"That would be the case – explain from the Cgil Fp of Naples – to stop denying the evidence and instead to implement initiatives to address this very serious criticality through discussion and the collaboration of those who know the problems and can make a constructive contribution. This trade union organization has long denounced what is unfortunately happening in deafening silence and having as a response a total denial of the facts which consequently made us, in the eyes of corporate and regional decision makers, at the very least mystifiers.
'You can fool some of the time, or all of the time. But you can't fool all of the time.'
We believe and hope that the time for propaganda is over and that the time for responsibility, seriousness and constructive discussion to improve welfare and working conditions has finally begun. Hurry up”.
