“Today's national strike of the workers of Industria Italiana Autobus was a complete success with 100% participation in the factories in Flumeri, in the province of Avellino and Bologna, where protests and demonstrations also took place”.
This is what Michele De Palma, Fiom-Cgil general secretary, and Simone Marinelli, national automotive coordinator, argue in a joint statement, in light of the four-hour mobilization that had been called for today, according to whom "those who have the responsibility of managing the company cannot damage what has been achieved by the struggles of workers in the defense and promotion of bus production and public mobility in our country".
For this reason, they observe, "Fiom asks that, together with the other unions, a discussion be started immediately with Leonardo and Invitalia at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy to find a real industrial solution, since the resources of the PNRR can constitute, together with the orders, the guarantee for the innovative, productive and employment future of the Flumeri and Bologna plants".
Finally, according to the two Fiom representatives, "Industria Italiana Autobus is the linchpin of the relaunch of the production of green collective mobility, but financial and industrial solidity is necessary, also through the entry into the capital of companies in the sector"
