The two slot machine entrepreneurs who are considered to be in collusion with the Stabia and Scafati crime groups are released Philip Bambace and his son Andrea(both assisted by lawyers Stefano Sorrentino and Gennaro De Gennaro).
According to Salerno DDA their company would have been suspected of being linked to the Camorra with joint investments, having made compromises with Buonocore Giuseppe and the Cesarano clan to create a monopoly in the sector slot machines.
The two defendants are accused of very serious crimes such as aggravated extortion from the mafia method and that of participation in a Camorra association. This accusation collapsed at the procedural level where it emerged that there was no monopoly and above all that two entrepreneurs they did not receive any economic benefits and utility from the clans of the Vesuvian territory.
The two entrepreneurs had been arrested last December because they were branded as having entered into agreements on the territory of Scafati and Pompeii to destroy competition in the sector. The defense of the two defendants has demonstrated that there was no pressure criminal against other entrepreneurs and that it was the Bambaces who suffered business damages due to the intervention of the local clans.
It will be remembered that Joseph Buonocore had been convicted in the abbreviated trial for having negotiated with the Bambaces to create a monopoly on Slot machines in Scafati. In the ordinary trial the trial demonstrated that this monopoly did not exist and that Buonocore had not brought any advantage to the Bambaces. The trial story was overturned. The two defendants will do the trial by free men.
