Raffaele Cars, a young emerging pulp writer, wins the second edition of the literary competition dedicated to the world of tennis organized by Homo Scrivens and Makers. The eight finalists in the competition, after a careful selection on the web in which users voted for their favorite texts on the Homo Scrivens site, and an evaluation by the jury, challenged each other again this year by reading their stories.
After Milan – last year’s location – this year the Tennis Writing took place at the Tennis Club Vomero.
The first part of the day was dedicated to the presentation of the volume - edited by journalist Stefano Semeraro (Eurosport, Corriere della Sera, Il Tennis Italiano) - which includes the finalist stories of the last edition plus some guest stars such as Gene Gnocchi. The other part of the day, instead, saw the finalists of this edition read the competing stories.
Raffaele Cars wins the event for the second year in a row and confirms himself as a trendy author in the literary environment of Naples and beyond. A busy year for the Neapolitan writer, who between 2022 and 2023 published his latest novel – Hell is Around the Corner – and won three literary competitions: Tennis Writing I, the Nabokov Prize Short Story Section, won with the story Polpette al Cuore di Lars and the second edition of the most famous competition Tennis-Literature.
