On Saturday evening the officers of the Police Station Capri, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Centre, they intervened at a shop in Via Camerelle in Capri following a report of a theft.
The police officers, who arrived on the scene, after having viewed the images from the video surveillance system of the commercial activity, ascertained that a couple of tourists had been responsible for the theft of two wallets in the shop.
In particular, while the man was distracting the clerk, the woman had removed the two wallets from a display case and then walked away together.
The operators intercepted and blocked the two while they were trying to leave the island, finding them in possession of the goods stolen shortly before from the boutique in Via Camerelle, as well as two perfume testers and some cosmetic creams.
Finally, they found that these last products had been stolen, shortly before, respectively from a perfumery and a pharmacy. The two, Argentinians aged 72 and 55, were arrested for aggravated theft.
