And this is why, following the investigations, the military personnel of the Boscoreale Carabinieri Station executed an order for the application of personal precautionary measures, issued by the GIP of the Torre Annunziata Court at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, against a person seriously suspected of the crime of arson aggravated by the so-called impaired defense and in conjunction with at least one other individual, still to be identified.
The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata, arose following the fire of four cars inside a Boschese dealership, which occurred on the ninth of November 8, 2022.
On this occasion, the suspect allegedly doused numerous vehicles and a large portion of the interior of the business, including the offices and the entrance to the structure, with gasoline, before setting fire to it, with the deliberate intent of destroying the entire shop, taking advantage of the night time to act undisturbed.
The investigations, which began in November 2022, allowed the criminal event to be reconstructed, documenting both the preparatory activities and the execution phases of the crime. The comparison of the numerous video surveillance videos analyzed showed the full correspondence of the clothes worn by the suspect with those of a subject checked a few hours earlier, by the same Carabinieri of Boscoreale, precisely in the act of filling some plastic bottles with gasoline, a few hundred meters from the dealership in question.
At least one other individual, who has yet to be identified, is said to have collaborated in the attack.
Further evidence of the illegal conduct was obtained by carrying out, during the investigative phase, a series of telephone interceptions, useful for outlining the criminal circuit in which the suspect was allegedly involved.
The suspect was placed under house arrest with an electronic bracelet as a precautionary measure.
