And now someone should explain to her daughter, her grandchildren, all her family members but above all to all the women who are victims of violence why those two reports by Anna Scala, killed yesterday morning by her ex (who had in fact reported it) did not have an immediate judicial follow-up.
An immediate precautionary measure, as required by the red code, that is, a ban on the murderer Salvatore Ferraiuolo from approaching his ex who yesterday became his victim.
A femicide announced for many residents of Piano di Sorrento and Vico Equense who knew the dangerousness of the killer. Not once but twice she had reported him for stalking.
The first time was on July 24th, at the Carabinieri of Massa Lubrense, the next day to the military in Piano di Sorrento. Anna Scala was afraid, her friends and family knew it too. The first time he had even threatened her with a knife on the beach in Massa Lubrense and had been pushed away by some tourists.
Anna Scala's life ended yesterday in a few minutes. Her ex stabbed her, with no escape. And now many are wondering if yet another femicide could have been avoided. The murderer, Salvatore Ferraiuolo, 54, confessed late yesterday evening.
Tomorrow the man will be subjected to preliminary hearing before the investigating judge of the Court of Torre Annunziata in the presence of his lawyer Gabriele Cimmino. And tomorrow at 16 pm the funeral of Anna Scala has been scheduled.
But there is a before that weighs: the complaints and the absence of precautionary measures against the man. In investigative circles it is confirmed that no measure has ever been adopted against him. Today the autopsy on the body of Anna, hit several times with a knife, in the back.
Ferraiuolo waited for her for over an hour, then killed her amidst her screams. His attempts to defend himself were useless: Anna had a hand on her face when she died. Perhaps he thought he could stop the hatred of those who once loved her. But then everything ended, some time ago. Anna and Salvatore had been living together for about 15 years.
She was a mother and also a grandmother, but the girl was not Ferraiuolo's daughter. On social media their photos, the happy life that is usually told. And instead of happy there was nothing left. Instead, there were mistreatments, threats, persecutions, increasingly violent arguments.
For this reason Anna had decided to leave her home and move in with her mother. She hoped in this way to put an end to those persecutions. She had told the police but yesterday the situation worsened, forever.
She was 56 years old, she had been a hairdresser at home since the fish shop she ran with her partner stopped doing business. Yesterday she was out for work. And she was arranging her tools when the first shots hit her from behind. And she stayed there, in the trunk of her car.
Residents of the area heard her screams, arrived on the scene, called for help, some even saw Salvatore running away. On Thursday, in the church of Piano di Sorrento, there was a vigil: many joined in prayer, in the presence of the three parish priests of the area. A vigil full of pain for a woman known by all.
And tonight at Villa Fondi the events for tourists and vacationers, after yesterday's stop, resume but, in the audience, a red chair has been placed, empty, in memory of Anna and all the victims of feminicides. Meanwhile, the doubt remains, full of pain, that perhaps the woman, yet another victim, could not have died.
