The 'nest egg' stolen from organised crime and drug dealers by the inter-force blitz in the Spanish Quarters amounts to 108.355 euros Napoli.
A substantial sum, the result of searches carried out since dawn today. Part of the banknotes were found in an apartment, while other bundles were hidden in common areas of buildings.
As part of the operation, a person of Gambian origin was arrested because he was the recipient of an order for the application of the precautionary custody measure in prison because he was seriously suspected of the crime of stalking.
Two people were arrested in flagrante delicto, one for resisting a public official and possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, while the other was charged with possession of false identification documents. Six people were also reported.
Furthermore, a pair of false documents hidden in an electrical junction box, a Taurus 22 caliber pistol, numerous cartridges, two precision scales, eight bladed weapons, including 6 knives, a “katana” and a telescopic truncheon, 108.355 euros divided into banknotes of various denominations, three watches of a well-known brand, approximately 135 grams of hashish, 95 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of marijuana were seized.
A camera connected to a DVR (video surveillance system) was found in an apartment to film the outside of the building, presumably placed to evade possible police checks.
Administrative checks were also carried out to verify compliance with the Highway Code. In particular, 112 people were identified, 40 of whom had a police record, 77 vehicles were checked and another 20 were removed because they did not have insurance coverage.
