Marano, kills his wife's alleged lover and then commits suicide

Marano di Napoli – A passionate drama took place today in via Marano-Pianura, a few steps from the Papa Luciani private school, in the Camaldoli hill area.

A man, Milco Gargiulo, was shot dead while driving his white BMW. Not far away, his alleged killer, Andrea Izzo, was found dead, a suicide. A double homicide that has thrown families and teachers of the nearby school into panic.

The shooting: terror just a few meters from the classrooms

The first shots rang out shortly after the Città Giardino roundabout, in a busy and crowded area. According to reconstructions, Gargiulo was hit by at least five bullets while he was in the car.

The attacker, riding a scooter, reportedly exploded two initial shots, but the gun jammed. Gargiulo, in an attempt to escape, hit him with the car. Shortly after, however, the attacker returned to the attack, shooting again and hitting the victim squarely.

Traffic was at a standstill, while the police and carabinieri took control of the area, very close to the school. Some witnesses said scenes of panic, with parents and students alarmed by gunshots heard nearby.

The Passionate Trail: Betrayal and Revenge

The investigations point towards a sentimental motive. Andrea Izzo, the suicide victim, would have been husband of a woman with whom Gargiulo had an affair and a love triangle ended in tragedy. After killing his rival, Izzo allegedly took his own life nearby, leaving a trail of blood and questions.

There are no links to organised crime, but only an extreme gesture dictated by jealousy. A crime that shocked the community, transforming a normal day into a nightmare just steps away from a school.

Two lives shattered, a love story turned into a massacre. Law enforcement is now reconstructing every detail, while Marano mourns his victims.
