With a continuous crescendo of anticipation, LDA's return materializes with the announcement of the release of his new single "SHALLA", coming Friday, April 11 on all digital platforms and on the radio. This song represents a real turning point in his artistic journey, as he had already anticipated with a series of freestyles on his Instagram profile.
Article Key Points
A bold change
“SHALLA” is not just a song, but a manifesto of evolution and artistic liberation. LDA abandons the already heard atmospheres and dives into urban sounds, enriching them with a touch of intimate R&B. In this new piece, the artist explores the theme of a time that always seems insufficient, expressing a contrast between the external din and the internal solitude. The structure of the chorus turns into a real mantra, inviting us to live without chains and to let the flow of existence run.
A musical rebirth
“After a break from the spotlight I'm back with an R&B project, a change that concerns both me as a person and my music”, says LDA. “SHALLA” thus becomes a hymn to rebirth, not only as an artist, but also as an individual, through sounds that want to revitalize a genre that has marked the history of world music. The release of the single will be accompanied by an interesting video directed by Mario Miccione, who represents LDA engaged in serving a sentence in a “musical prison” for his attempt to bring R&B to Italy. A narrative that denotes a tension between innovation and tradition in the Italian music scene.
From the ranks to the general public
Born in Rome in 2003, LDA has been making waves in the music scene since he was very young, publishing his first unreleased song at just 13 years old. After a series of collaborations and successes, including a gold record and being included among the Big of the Sanremo Festival, LDA continues to conquer the public. From “Buongiorno” to “Granita”, passing through the theme song of a Netflix series, his artistic journey is an example of how to navigate the turbulent sea of contemporary music. Now, with “SHALLA”, he is preparing to write a new chapter in his already rich musical history.

I read the article and it seems interesting how LDA has evolved in his musical style. However, I am not sure if R&B can really take hold in Italy as many hope. It is a complex genre.
