The 2025 tomato transformation campaign has officially started for Mutti, an Italian excellence in the agri-food sector. The company has announced the opening of selections for 1.300 seasonal workers, who will be employed in the Group's three plants located in Montechiarugolo and Collecchio, in the province of Parma, and in Oliveto Citra, in the Salerno area.
In detail, 500 positions will be opened in Montechiarugolo, 400 in Collecchio and another 400 in Oliveto Citra, with the start of activities planned for the peak months of the harvest, from July to September. This is the most crucial period for Mutti, in which the entire harvest supplied by over 800 families of farmers, with whom the company collaborates on a stable basis, is processed.
The figures sought range from general operators to specialized profiles such as quality control analysts, sampling operators, mechanical and electrical experts. Particular attention is also paid to the Instafactory project, the mobile plant patented by Mutti, active in the Gualtieri (RE) area, which allows the transformation of tomatoes directly in the field. Here we are looking for line operators and students or recent graduates in mechanical or food engineering, to train as mobile station conductors.
"During the summer months we process all the tomatoes that we will then market during the year. They are only seventy days, but they are fundamental: we cannot, and do not want to, compromise," said Federico Luddi, Director of Human Resources for the Mutti Group.
The company offers seasonal workers contracts based on the CCNL of the food industry, integrated by the Mutti company contract, with a salary up to 30% higher than that provided for agricultural workers. A choice that underlines the desire to invest in human capital: just think that 44% of current Mutti employees began their career with a seasonal job during the tomato campaign.
Applications are already open. For many, it will be an opportunity to join a company that has made quality, innovation and respect for the agricultural supply chain its pillars.
