It will be a moment of deep reflection scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at the classical and human sciences high school “G. Carducci” in Nola and Casamarciano: at 9.30:XNUMX, the students of the institute, led by the head teacher Assunta Compagnone, will welcome Gino Cecchettin, father of Giulia, the young victim of femicide brutally killed by Filippo Turetta.
The meeting will revolve around the book "Dear Giulia", written by Gino Cecchettin himself together with Marco Franzoso: a touching open letter to his daughter, but also an act of denunciation and reflection on the dramatic issues of femicide, gender inequality and the patriarchal culture still rooted in society. The volume, already at the center of numerous public and scholastic debates, is proposed as a tool to shake consciences and encourage a profound dialogue between generations.
The event is part of the project “Writers in the classroom”, promoted by the Mondadori literary café in Piazza Marconi in Nola, directed by the journalist Autilia Napolitano, in collaboration with the cultural association SCENART. “Today more than ever it is necessary to discuss these issues to promote an alliance between the sexes in the name of a culture of reconciliation”, underlined Autilia Napolitano.
A thought also shared by the school principal Compagnone, who reiterated the school's commitment: “Let's invest in education on sentimental relationships and fight indifference together. This book is a powerful appeal to families, schools and institutions, so that they question the deep roots of patriarchal culture in our society”.

It is important that we talk about issues such as femicide and gender inequality. School must be a place where we discuss and reflect, even if sometimes there are many prejudices that hinder dialogue. We hope that this meeting can really make a difference.
