Nin recent days the Guardia di Finanza of the Provincial Command of Benevento, within the scope of the control services in the field of undeclared work, carried out an inspection activity on an amateur sports association based in Cusano Mutri, in the province of Benevento, at the end of which the employment of seven employees was detected whose employment relationship had not been declared.
In particular, previously, the military personnel of the Solopaca Tenancy, during a tax inspection, in the context of a famous festival in the municipality of Cusano Mutri, found that in an area used as a parking lot for private cars, seven workers were employed "illegally" by a non-profit amateur sports association.
Subsequently, the military began a more in-depth inspection activity through the acquisition of documentation and information found by the irregular workers who claimed to perceive a few euros of compensation per hour for the activity of valet.
Furthermore, one of the aforementioned employees, in addition to not having a regular employment contract, did not have the minimum age requirements necessary to carry out work activities as, at the time of the inspection, he was found to have fifteen years of age.
Therefore, in relation to the aforementioned irregularity, the head of the amateur sports association was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Benevento for the crime of exploitation of labor.
Furthermore, regarding the use of the other six employees in the absence of prior communication of the establishment of the employment relationship, an administrative violation was contested, for which a fine of 1.800 to 10.800 euros is foreseen for each irregular employee.
The operation of the Guardia di Finanza bears witness to the constant action of the Corps in contrasting the underground economy which damages the entire economic system as it takes resources away from the treasury, undermines the interests of workers, often exploited, and allows unfair competition with honest businesses.
